Both of these High Power units share many similarities, though there are differences to account for the power requirements of each. Both units have solid features and deliver good performance, and come in a sleek package that's highlighted by the quiet white dimpled fan design. From a functional standpoint, the units are 80PLUS Bronze certified, which is to be considered near the lower range of power efficiency these days, as many other offerings do come in Silver and Gold certification. Quality (30% of the total score) Without a doubt, the High Power Performance Pro 750W is a well made power supply without any significant manufacturing flaws. The soldering job could have been a little better but that is easily overshadowed by the use of high grade components, such as the Rubycon primary capacitor. In order to improve the mechanical cohesion of their product, High Power used glue to secure virtually every large component inside the power supply. Externally the power supply is very carefully made and there are no visual and/or mechanical imperfections. Quality Score 9.0/10 Performance (40% of the total score) While the electrical performance of the Performance Pro 750W unit left us unimpressed, the power supply delivered very good electrical efficiency and outstanding thermal performance. Its acoustics performance, aided by the great thermal performance and the good cooling fan, was nothing short of terrific given the class of the product. Its acoustics performance, aided by the great thermal performance and the good cooling fan, was nothing short of terrific given the class of the product. If High Power could suppress the high voltage ripple a little better, this could easily become one of the best mainstream 750W units. Performance Score 8.5/10

The High Power Performance Pro 750W is currently selling for about 700$ HKD (about 90$ USD or 110$ SGD), what looks to be a fair price for a quality 750W power supply. Even though this is not a modular power supply and the cables are not even sleeved, it would still be a great choice for many enthusiasts on a budget. What is strange however is the very low number of Molex connectors this power supply has, especially given its very high power output; most certainly, all new HDDs and optical drives utilize SATA power connectors these days but Molex connectors are necessary for fans, accessories and other peripherals, plus they can be converted to any necessary connector by simple adapters if necessary. Value Score 8.5/10
Aesthetics (10% of the total score)
Aesthetically, the High Power Performance Pro 750W unit could have been one of the best looking products anywhere close its price range. The well made chassis, the well designed stickers and engravings, the dark grey color and the rare white bladed fan can easily draw a lot of attention and it could become a great addition inside any modder’s system even though it is not a modular power supply. Unfortunately the lack of any cable sleeving destroys the appearance of the power supply, making it look like a cheap generic unit, something which will certainly drive most people who care about the appearance of their system away.
